Now I want to chat about Kombucha. Which is obviously utterly unrelated to those Banana Oatmeal Cookies, but I understand you won't obey.

Allow me to begin by saying that my husband beverages apple cider vinegar mixed with water every morning to reduce inflammation or anything like this.

While I am not promising these banana oatmeal cookies are the least healthful (cause hello sugar and butter), I am claiming they are delicious.

They have the ideal quantity of banana flavor and a beautiful chewy texture as a result of its oats. The chocolate chips are merely an added bonus.

1/2 cup unsalted butter, Visit This Link at room temperature

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 large egg

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

3 1/4 cup old fashioned oats


Scrape the sides of the bowl and blend in the egg until fully incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add in the mashed bananas and vanilla.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.

Gently add the bread mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.

Scrape the sides of the bowl and then stir to recombine.

Use a medium cookie scoop (about 1.5 tablespoons) to scoop the dough on prepared cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and then gently press on the shirts of each cookie using the bottom of a drinking glass. Considering these cookies do not spread considerably, this will give them a conventional cookie shape.
